STOJAN ĆELIĆ: GRAFIKE I CRTEŽI = PRINT AND DRAWINGS + CD

Stvarao sam i sledio sam jedan lični program, pokušao sam da resim zadatke koje sam sebi postavljao, a postavljao sam ih i rešavao u svetu koji ne dozvoljava smirenja i zatvaranja. Prilazio sam svojim uzorima sa potrebnim poštovanjem, proveravao sam primljena iskustva na sopstvenim. Mislim da sam u dovoljnoj meri angažovan pre svega čistotom ideje i slike u svetlu jedne vizije budućnosti koju zasnivam na dometima vremena u kojem živim. Generacija kojoj pripadam uticala je na bitna pomeranja u našoj savremenoj umetnosti druge polovine veka. Pokušao sam da neke važne pouke tradicija otkrijem u sopstvenom slikarstvu i da tako učestvujem u prenošenju važnih poruka. Verujem, konačno, iako neću patiti ako budem osporen, da sam uticao na naše viđenje sveta.

I was making and following a personal program, and tried to solve the tasks I as-signed to myself. I assigned and solved them in a world that disapproves of sedation and closures. I approached my paragons with due respect, verified received experi¬ences on my own. I believe I am sufficiently engaged primarily with the purity of idea and image in the light of a vision of future founded on the possibilities of the time I live in. My generation has made significant influence on essential breakthroughs in our contemporary art in the second half of the 20th century. I tried to discover some important examples of our tradition in my own art and so take part in the transmis¬sion of significant messages. And, finally, I believe, though it will not hurt me if some¬one denies it, that J had some influence on our perception of the world.
